The President


The President is the legal representative of MPU.

Salah M. Abdel-Momen

Plant Pathology Research Institute, Agricultural Research Center (ARC), Giza, Egypt

Prof. Salah M. Abdel-Momen holds a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from Texas A&M University and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Maryland. In Egypt, he began his career at the Plant Pathology Research Institute, Agricultural Research Center (ARC), conducting studies on crop diseases and supervising numerous M.Sc. and Ph.D. students. He has participated in several national agricultural research programs and served as president of the Egyptian Society of Phytopathology. Throughout his career, he has held key administrative positions, including Vice President and President of the ARC, Minister of Agriculture, and currently serves as Head Researcher at ARC.
